| The Steering Committee has been meeting regularly since July of 2007. Initially, several members contacted the Southern Midcoast Chamber inquiring about a local group modeled after the regional groups affiliated with Realize!Maine. At that time there was no group in the Southern midcoast region devoted to connecting it's young (20-40) poulation. After countless volunteer hours, meetings, emails, phone calls and valuable support from several individuals and organizations, the steering committee is proud to launch our website and host a launch party on May 3rd to bring Ascend to the people of the Southern midcoast region. |
